How to choose the right scrubber dryer for your business

First question: how many square metres do you clean?

The area decides everything. Under 500 m² (shops, small restaurants, offices) a compact walk-behind scrubber dryer is the right choice: inexpensive, fits everywhere and stores in a closet. Between 500 and 1,500 m² you need a walk-behind with a bigger tank or a compact ride-on. Over 1,500 m² (warehouses, supermarkets, logistics) the ride-on pays for itself through speed.

Second question: cord or battery?

Cord is cheaper and never runs flat, but limits your range and gets in the way: good for small, clear areas. Battery is a must where there are obstacles, shelving or the public: modern lithium batteries easily cover a work shift.

Third question: what kind of dirt?

Dust and light dirt: any machine will do, the right chemistry in the tank matters. Kitchen or workshop grease: you need brush pressure and a strong alkaline detergent with controlled foam. Uneven or anti-slip floors: consider roller brushes instead of discs.

Watch out for foam: in a scrubber dryer use only foam-controlled detergents like Lüster concentrates, otherwise foam gets into the vacuum motor.
